OMG! Look who's back! Was stuck on crackbook, to the exclusion of poor diaryland. Am feeling the need to journal again and what better place?!!
Hope anyone who actually kept me on their buddy list will forgive me!
Hmmm, well, it's been almost a year since the last fiasco. Things have (knock on wood) actually been going quite well.
I moved back to Regina, worked a bit last summer and then went back to uni in the fall. I'm in the Social Work program ('qualifying' - still waiting to hear about my application)and am LOVING it. I hesitated about Social Work in the past... not sure if I can do it, emotionally, etc... but it turns out I HAVE been doing it and the more I do it, the more I love it. Who knew?
Currently have two part time jobs and a full course load at school... things are hectic but I'm managing.
One of my part time jobs is in the 'inner city' at a youth centre. Working with kids. It's messy and chaotic, but I'm adjusting. Love the kids, they are truly courageous and give me hope.
The other part time job, well, it pays some bills.
Have also gotten involved with volunteer work again. And since I've stepped back into it, it seems like there's more work than ever. I'm learning to say 'no' and am perfectly ok with that.
Socially... ha.
So, that's the short story (I've learned to be consise and to the point... saves time!).
